Schönborn Palace is a decoration of Zakarpattia
In 1840, the owners of the Mukachevo-Chynadii dominion, the Counts Schönborn, built a wooden house in the Berehvar tract as a summer residence, and in 1890, a romantic Neo-Renaissance castle was built on its site.
The design of the palace has a peculiar symbolism. It is based on the components of the astronomical year. The number of windows equals the number of days in a year, the number of rooms equals the number of weeks, and the number of front doors equals the number of months.
The palace is surrounded by a magnificent English arboretum with exotic plants, which was laid out in the middle of the XIX century. In the park, you can admire the tulip tree, berry yew, Weymouth pine, evergreen boxwood, Chinese wisteria, and cherry blossoms in early May.
The castle is located not far from the Karpaty railway station. Almost all suburban trains that pass through Mukachevo pass through it.
Address: Chynadiyovo urban-type settlement, Karpaty sanatorium.
