Nevitsky Castle is 30 km from Grand Family Zakarpattia
Nevytskyi Castle is a dilapidated castle near the village of Kamianytsia in Uzhhorod district, Zakarpattia region, an architectural monument of national importance.
Built at the intersection of trade routes, it was originally a wooden fortification surrounded by ramparts. However, the history of this building was short-lived – the Mongol-Tatars destroyed it in 1241, and then a strong stone citadel was built in its place, which was constantly rebuilt and fortified.
The palace had 31 rooms with a total area of about 1000 m².
From the mountain side, the castle buildings were surrounded by an earthen rampart and a deep moat dug into the rock, with an outer castle wall with four towers.
